Blake Huxell is an instrumentalist and music industry professional living in Pasadena, California. Blake is an accomplished bass trombonist and bassist who actively plays around the LA area and has performed with various jazz bands, wind ensembles, orchestras, brass choirs, chamber groups, musical pits, and jazz combos.
In addition to his performance schedule, Blake actively works in music publishing. Blake previously worked with Adarga Entertainment Group from 2017-2020, helping to grow the company’s publishing division and working with their international roster of songwriters. Currently, Blake works as the Publishing Manager at Adrev, where he works with a broad range of publishing clients and helps them monetize their content within YouTube’s CMS.
Blake also has worked as an independent music supervisor. Blake is currently working as the music supervisor for The American Story Podcast, a weekly series produced by Christopher Flannery and The Claremont Institute, and has also supervised the mobile game Retronomicon, which is now available on the Android app store.
In 2019, Blake graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a BM in Commercial Music Business and Honors Humanities, receiving both the Outstanding Senior and Dean’s Academic Achievement awards. For his graduate studies, Blake attended the University of Southern California and earned a Master of Science in Music Industry with a concentration in Music Supervision and Visual Media.
